# 4 - Central Avenue (7:43)
Status: 2 minutes late

The cord on the right side of the bus didn't work, and the cord on the left side of the bus didn't keep the Stop Requested light activated. Still, everyone seemed to get the stops they needed.

# 4 - northbound (4:13)
Status: on time

I had just reached the stop when the bus pulled into view. I wish I could always time it so well.

Mr. Shabby Sharp boarded at St. Catherine. As I told R., he had a bit of a country-western theme going, although it was really just the shirt. A long-sleeved button-up tan shirt with with a red-blue southwestern pattern on either side where the breast pocket would be. His usual clump of necklaces. Baggy jeans with embroidery down the back of the legs. Held up tight with a belt. Van slip-ons with a checkered pattern. A large silver flower-shaped ring on his left index finger. And slicked back hair. At first I thought he had gotten it cut--I had seen him at 4th & Broadway on Tuesday, but he was on the southbound side--but then I realized he just had gobs of cream in it.

# 4 - northbound
Status: on time

This week I've started catching the bus home at Stansbury Park instead of Brandeis. It's a little closer, or at least more direct. I avoid it in the winter because it's really dark along that stretch, and when the weather turned, I was so accustomed to the Brandeis walk that I didn't switch back.

At Brandeis, a familiar face boarded the bus -- my friend C! I rarely see anyone I know on the bus, so it was nice to chat and catch up. While we were saying hello, a woman across the aisle asked me if the bus went up 4th "to the park." Which park? I told her it turned at Broadway, went up 5th, and then turned on Market. I think she asked the driver -- much better idea than asking the person in the middle of a conversation.
